Bonjour to All,

Here is the latest news on my car and its journey to Europe. I am having the car delivered to Drammen, Norway . The boat is late and I will not be able to start my trip on until the 6th of September. I have to cover 3,700 miles in 14 days to make it to Cap de Agde by 4 pm on September 21,

I must also visit the many corvette owners in Scandinavia, Germany , Italy, Switzerland on my way to France and the sea. I promised to attend an event and I will try to keep my word. Here is a map of the general area that I must cover in 14 days.... I can see it now , just like the classic French movie " Man and Women " driving like a mad man day and night rain shine.....on the way to the sea.....music playing in the background

Voici les dernières nouvelles sur ma voiture et de son voyage vers l'Europe. Je vais avoir la voiture livrée à Drammen, Norvège. Le bateau est en retard et je ne serai pas en mesure de commencer mon voyage jusqu'au 6 Septembre. J'ai pour couvrir 3700 miles en 14 jours pour se rendre à Cap de Agde par 16 heures le 21 Septembre,

Je dois également visiter les nombreux propriétaires corvette en Scandinavie, en Allemagne, en Italie, en Suisse, ma façon à la France et la mer. J'ai promis d'assister à un événement et je vais essayer de tenir ma parole. Voici une carte de la région en général que je dois couvrir en 14 jours .... Je peux le voir maintenant, tout comme le film classique français "L'homme et la femme" de conduite comme un jour fou et brillance pluie de la nuit ..... sur le chemin de la mer ..... jouer de la musique dans le backround .. ...

Ok les gens, voici les dernières nouvelles sur les horaires de voyage.

La voiture / conteneur arrive à Bremerhaven, Allemagne le 30 ou si de Septembre. Conteneur est transféré à un tramp, qu'il faut à Oslo, en Norvège par le 5 Septembre.

Je vais expédier la voiture de la Norvège la semaine du 22-27 Octobre

Je me demande autour des quais jusqu'à ce que je trouve le bon endroit, le déchargement du conteneur voiture, montrer des documents à la douane (pas de droits ou taxes en Norvège si vous ne restez pas plus de 1 an).

Je vole dans Oslo le 3 Septembre, il s'agit d'un vol de 13 heures -15 Portland ME / Newark / Oslo. Laisser à 12h45 le dimanche et arriver à 10 heures, du lundi à Oslo.

Passez deux jours à Oslo et dans les environs d'attente pour la voiture arriver.

Sur la route J'espère que par le 6e en direction du nord à Trondheim, en Norvège. De la Norvège à la Suède à la Finlande à la Suède à l'Allemagne à la Suisse, l'Autriche, le Liechtenstein, l'Italie et enfin la France et le Cap de Agde par le 21. Je devrais être plein d'énergie au moment où je vous joindre. Le soleil va se sentir bien.

Les membres du Club Corvette de la Norvège et AMCAR sera m'aider à sortir la voiture et assister à des rencontres de petits propriétaires de voitures.

Après cela, je dois faire attention aux ours, le cerf et l'orignal sur la route, pas beaucoup de gens, tout comme le Maine ...

Je vais poster des coûts et des détails plus tard .... en ce moment je suis en train de devenir un expert cinématographique devrait être amusant .... .... beaucoup de photos et 90 vidéos second venant à votre rencontre ...

Ok folks, here is the latest news on trip schedules.

The car/container arrives in Bremerhaven , Germany on the 30th or so of September. Container is transferred to a tramp steamer, that takes it to Oslo, Norway by the 5th of September.

I will ship the car back from Norway the week of October 22-27

I wonder around the docks until I find the right place, unload car from container, show documents to Customs (no duty or taxes in Norway if you do not stay more than 1 year ) .

I fly into Oslo on the 3rd of September, it is about a 13 -15 hour flight from Portland ME / Newark / Oslo . Leave at 12:45 pm on Sunday and arrive at 10 am , Monday in Oslo.

Spend two days in and around Oslo waiting for car to arrive.

On the road I hope by the 6th heading north to Trondheim, Norway. From Norway to Sweden to Finland to Sweden to Germany to Switzerland, Austria, Lichtenstein , Italy and finally France, Monaco and Cap de Agde by the 21st. I should be full of energy by the time I reach you. The sun will feel good.

Members of the Corvette Club of Norway and AMCAR will be helping me get the car and attend little gatherings of car owners.

After that I have to watch out for bears, deer and moose on the roads, not very many people, just like Maine...

I will post some costs and details later....right now I am working on becoming a Cinematographic expert....should be fun....lots of pictures and 90 second videos coming your way...

Hello, life is good now that I know I will have a roof over my head....funny you should have English cars...my roommates when I was younger in NYC had English sports cars. A MG B 1968 Gold and a 1961 3000 Austin Heally....silver.. and in high school, my friend had a 59 TR 3 ? Green I think. That would be great....to see Oslo in an English car owned by a Norwegian with a Corvette....what a great way to start a trip.

Ok since we have taken care of the night stuff.....

I come in on United Airlines Flight #38 from Newark , New Jersey.....it leaves US at 8 pm on Sunday 02/09/12 and lands at 9:50 am Monday 03/09/12 .

If someone would like to volunteer being a cameraman or sound man, director, or gaffer....or know of some students of Cinematography , who would like their clips shown all over the world, I could use your help showing Oslo on video

In France I could also use some help with the Cinematography.... so any volunteers ? to help as I travel the roads of France and enjoy the culture and Passion of Corvettes

Bonjour, il fait bon vivre, maintenant que je sais que je vais avoir un toit sur ma tête .... drôle, vous devriez avoir les voitures anglaises ... mes colocataires quand j'étais plus jeune à New York avaient sportives anglais voitures. Une MG B 1968 d'or et de 1961 3000 Austin .... Heally argent .. et au lycée, mon ami a eu un TR 59 3? Je pense vert. Ce serait formidable de voir .... Oslo dans une voiture anglaise détenue par un norvégien avec une Corvette .... Quelle belle façon de commencer un voyage.

As you all know I am way behind schedule, I have had to make some very difficult decisions. I can not come to Europe without coming to Finland and Sweden.

Here is how I propose to do it....

I do not have time to drive to Finland this month. Here is a map of my route though Germany and returning from France. I have 35 days to travel from the south of France to Oslo where I will return to the US.

Schedule: The route on the map is just a general direction....it does not follow the roads that I may take to visit individuals and it is subject to change as I drive


I have 7 days to travel the 1,400 miles. Looking at my map you see that I will hit most of the spots in Germany the way south and Germany again on my way north to Oslo

I hope you understand my change of plans....the car coming in on the 12th of September has made my trip a very difficult one to execute.

Since my car is not due into Olso till the 12th, I thought I would visit members of the Corvette Club of Norway. I took a train from Olso to Bergen, a city on the west coast of Norway. It is the land of fjords.

Bergen is about 350 miles away and you have to go over many mountains to get there. I thought you would like to see the terrain on the way...

I wonder if I should have left on my snow tires.....

I am sorry but a long train ride and my host Jan-Ivar insisted that I needed some medicine to help calm my nerves after my experiences with the shipping line.
