Hello from the big city of Usclas d'Herault!
Bonjour, and a HUGE excuse me that I don't write in French, but I am in the process of learning. Here is a little introduction about myself.
My name is Kent, I am 41 years old, from England. I run a business called Jap-City (importing performance cars from Japan to Sweden via the UK) from my home/office in Usclas d'Herault near Pezenas. I have lived in France for just over 3 years. Before this I lived in England, for 5 years, and before that I lived in Sweden for 14 years... So, I've been about a bit to say the least. But, I still have a lot of difficulties speaking French. Swedish I speak almost fluently, but this does not help me here
I have always had Japanese cars but last year I bought an Audi TT from Japan. I registered in in the UK, then registered it in France. In the past I have owned some Corvettes too (C4's). I sold the Audi about 2 weeks ago (Christmas 2008) and bought another Corvette from Japan. It's now on it's way to the UK and once there it will be UK registered. And then, I hope, I can get it registered in France. If it can't be registered in France, I have put a backup plan in place... Try to sell it before it arrives into the UK. But, I am hoping that I can have this great car here.
If anybody has any tips on what I need to get this Corvette registered in France, then PLEASE feel free to let me know. I have had experience with the DRIRE in France (when registering my Audi), so I know that there can be some hurdles to get over before I finally have the Carte Grise firmly in my hands.
About the car... Well, it's a 1994 C4 Corvette with a 6 speed manual gearbox. It has covered 87,000 km and is in pristine condition. You can view the description and photos of the car by clicking here. As I have owned some Corvettes in the past, I know what they are like, and I have to say that I am looking forward to be able to this one here in the south of France very soon.
Well, I hope to get to meet some of you in the future and until then, thanks for letting on the forum and bye bye for now.
